MBW Consulting Ltd was formed in 1999 when Mutenga Batumbya Consulting Engineers of Uganda and Wardrop Engineering Inc. of Canada agreed that comprehensive consulting services could be provided more effectively to the Ugandan market by joining the resources of the two companies. so
The rationale behind the formation of MBW was to provide a more holistic service to Clients in Uganda at the same time developing a cadre of Ugandan professionals who are not only specialists in their fields but also who have internalized Uganda’s national goal of poverty eradication through commitment to economic liberalization, political broad base, and government decentralization, and thus better able to meet the challenging and diverse requirements of these Clients.
Since its incorporation in 1999, the company’s turnover has seen a steady increase in successive years; now averaging over 1.5M USD.

The merger between the company’s parent companies enables it to provide a more holistic professional service to its clients. At the same time, MBW develops a cadre of Ugandan construction professionals who are well trained to meet the challenging and diverse requirements of the national and regional environment.
Furthermore, MBW has direct access to various in-house specialists as well as on-call sub-consultants of various disciplines who are available whenever required.
MBW’s work approach uniquely combines traditional engineering services with participatory community development activities by always including social, economic and environmental aspects in its projects.
The company is equipped with in-house computing, communication, printing, land survey and GIS facilities which enable different design options to be rapidly evaluated for optimum efficiency and economy.
